Decline:

To withhold or deny consent to do, enter into or upon

Downward

From a higher place or level to a lower place or level

Keen:

Finely sharpened, as an edge; so shaped as to cut or pierce substances readily.

Flatten out:

To stop rising or falling, and stay at the same level.
